I’m Tina Nettlefold, founder of T.House. I’m an interior stylist, serial renovator and philanthropist, living my dream empty nester life. I’ve left my career in the corporate world behind (my previous role was media director/strategist for a leading ad agency ), to follow my heart. I have always adored major renovation projects, styling, beautiful interiors, making amazing food (it’s my Greek heritage) and I love, love, love to throw a party. I live by the motto: “Live big, love big.”
Beyond the room reveals, before and afters, cleaning hacks and inspiration, T.House has a true purpose. T.House is testimony to my belief that it is never too late to do something you love. While others might be considering retirement, I have launched T.House, a beautifully curated range of homewares, hampers, scents, gifts and limited edition pieces, each item designed to add beauty and joy to those who use it, with a genuine connection to the charities T.House supports.
As a not-for-profit, 100% of T.House profits are donated to three charities close to my heart – the Lighthouse Foundation, Eat Up and the Robert Dawes Foundation ($100K so far!). Our mission is to turn everyday shopping into charitable giving and in the process shine a light on amazing local charities that support disadvantaged Australian children with food, shelter and better healthcare.
I invite you to follow my daily escapades on Insta, YouTube and TikTok. I’m here to inspire you on all things; styling, renovating, cooking & cleaning. It’s all about doing what you love and I truly believe as a community we can make a big difference.
Join the T.House community and get ready to have some fun.
Have you ever told yourself you can’t do something because of your age?
Have you stopped yourself from finally chasing your dreams because you think it’s too late, or just felt like you should simply stick to what you know? Whether it’s a new hobby, trying out a new activity or even changing your career, you are not alone in thinking this way.
When it comes to making big changes or trying something completely new later in life, we often tell ourselves that we can’t. We lose the ‘I can tackle anything’ attitude we had in our 20s and second-guess ourselves because suddenly we’ve reached ‘a certain age’. Of course, taking on something new can be scary. But scary does not mean impossible!
If you don’t believe, I am living proof that you are never too old to chase your dreams. I took a step back from my professional career when I became a mum to three boys, but once they were all grown up I felt like I had lost my purpose. It wasn’t until I hit that milestone 60th birthday that I decided to follow my passion for interiors, fashion and lifestyle and channel it into a not-for-profit with a focus on charity and heart. THouse was born!
So many of today’s successful people also made the jump into a new career path later in life. Harrison Ford was a carpenter before he landed his role in Star Wars at 38. Alyce Tran was a corporate lawyer at a major law firm before making the move to full-time business owner of Australian personalised accessories brand The Daily Edited. Change is possible and it can be for you too.
So, don’t wait! Sign up to that adult ballet class, go back to studying, run your first marathon, make your own jewellery, play an instrument, or even learn a new language. Whatever it is, age simply should not be in the equation.
Live big. Love big.
