Crunchy Salad Sprinkles

Ingredients list

  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or your choice)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Method

  • Mix the sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, and chopped nuts in a bowl.
  • Heat a dry pan over medium heat.
  • Add the mixed seeds and nuts to the warm pan.
  • Pan-fry, tossing frequently, until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Add the sesame seeds, garlic powder, chilli powder, and salt. Keep tossing to prevent burning.
  • Sprinkle onion powder over the mixture.
  • Listen for a popping sound, then immediately remove from heat.
