Ingredients list
- 1 block of feta cheese
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp plain sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Salad leaves of your choice
- Lemon juice, for dressing
- Honey, for drizzling
- White wine vinegar, for dressing
Method
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced).
- Lightly coat the block of feta in cornflour, ensuring it’s evenly covered.
- Dip the cornflour-coated feta into the beaten egg, letting any excess drip off.
- Mix the plain and black sesame seeds in a shallow bowl, then press the feta into the seeds, coating all sides thoroughly.
- Place the coated feta onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Drizzle generously with olive oil.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until the feta is warmed through and the sesame crust is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately on a bed of salad leaves.
- Dress with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a drizzle of honey, and a splash of white wine vinegar
